We are so thrilled to share a little more about us – who we are, what we believe in, and how we work. Being an open book and sharing about our lives is so important to us! While we normally share little bits through our social media, we’re excited to have a whole blog post tell you about us.
Where it Began
Born and raised in Washington state (go Hawks!) Alex and I moved to Arizona more than a decade ago. After working to balance two careers and three kids, we found we were missing so much. With a lot of thought, prayer, and consideration, I left my job in the insurance industry and jumped in full time to the Smith Real Estate. Which after 14 years of marriage means we must really, really, really like each other! While making the leap was scary at the time, we had faith that God was guiding us in the right direction and that it was going to be the best choice for us, our marriage, and our family too.
Speaking of Family
Our three kiddos are at the center of every decision we make. Brooks, Bekett, and Berkleigh are our world, and being able to create a thriving business and be present for them is huge for us. Getting to coach them in sports, volunteer at school, and pick them up each day is a gift and one we’re willing to work very hard for! Is it crazy trying to balance it all? Absolutely! Would we have it any other way? Not a chance.
How We Work
Balance is so important to every relationship, but even more important when you’re married to your coworker. Alex and I each love different areas of the real estate business. Alex is the thinker, the planner, and negotiator. Me? I absolutely love connecting with our clients! Open houses are my favorite – getting to talk with and know the prospective buyers coming through is my happy place. I feel like a matchmaker – hearing someone’s list of wants and dreams for a new home and then searching to find the perfect property to match them with, it’s my favorite part of our job!
If you know us – or if you follow us on social media – then you know that we love a good sweat session. The gym is a must in our world and healthy eating is too. When we get to combine those two things while supporting our local businesses, it’s a win win. You’ll find Alex running through Arcadia most mornings, and both of us can be spotted at Bodi in Scottsdale.
We always want our business to focus on relationships, we’re never going to push a client to a property or a price that doesn’t work, just to close a deal. That’s not our style. When our clients sign that contract, we want them to feel like their best friend has been walking them through the process. If you’ve been thinking now might be the right time to sell your home, let’s talk. We’re excited to hear your story and answer your questions too.
