We had a client that had their eye on a neighborhood in Arcadia, Arizona. They really wanted to live in this particular area; it checked all of the boxes for them – school district, location to their business, proximity to family and friends – this little neighborhood was it! The only issue? Not one house for sale!
Well, ok there are houses, but not in our client’s budget and none that were their taste. They weren’t looking for a shiny new build or even a remodeled beauty. They wanted something that they could transform their way, and also document the process along the way.
A Little Bit
Rarely to be discouraged, Lesleigh decided we needed to think outside the box. She started dropping off little handwritten notes on doors in this neighborhood. Just a simple “Hi there! We are real estate agents with North & Co and we have a client who loves your neighborhood and is interested in purchasing your home…”. And low and behold, one of the recipients was interested in selling. More importantly, they were very interested in selling to a family who was going to live in and love the house the same way they had for so many years.
Goes a Long Way
