Pvolve Plants Seeds in North Scottsdale
The new year is a great time to commit to health and fitness, but if it’s already a part of your routine, it’s an excellent opportunity to try something new.
Enter: Pvolve North Scottsdale, which opened November 2024.
Alex and I drive Scottdale Road countless times during the day, but the large, inflatable Elf on the Shelf atop the Frank Lloyd Wright Spire must have kept my eyes from seeing the new fitness studio during the Christmas season.
Thankfully, a friend invited me to check it out this week and I think I’ll be stopping in frequently, from here on out.
It’s been less than 24 hours since my first Strength and Sculpt class, but I’ve already booked my next session… Pvolve is just that good! The next day, I woke up with tight, sore muscles in “all the right places.”
For anyone pulling up to the studio, it’d be hard to miss the window wrap of Jennifer Aniston. The celebrity has become the face and spokesperson of the brand who says Pvolve is a “gamechanger.”
Being pregnant [if you missed last month’s Scoop edition… Surprise!], I want to make sure the exercise I do serves both me and baby. Fortunately, my obstetrician has been super encouraging of my active lifestyle and encourages me to stay committed to strengthening my body with various types of movement; I had little sorry about trying this type of functional strength training.
While participating, I felt thoroughly inspired by the technique, music, mood lighting and group room aesthetic. The instructor [and studio owner] Caitlin, gave our entire class hype-girl vibes, but in a much more mature, poised way than I’d ever really experienced in a group fitness class. The cues were on point and the mat we stood on, labeled 1 through 9, was the perfect visual to keep us positioned exactly where we needed to be to get the most out of each movement.
After class, Caitlin explained there are 12 different pieces of Pvolve proprietary equipment, yet we only used four of five items during this particular class. I imagine this means there’s variety across the schedule and keeps clients and their muscles from becoming bored and stagnant.
Thought it feels a little soon to say I’m “hooked,” I do think North Scottsdale is lucky to have a Pvolve studio of its own. My friends, sister and I left feeling ready to take on the day [sleepy, cloudy weather and all] and were texting the next morning to discuss our fatigued muscles—yes, please!
The studio, which is located on the southeast side of Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Road, is fresh, clean and pleasing to the eye. It’s easy to see why clients gathered early, and stayed late, to chit chat and browse the merchandise section.
In my opinion, residents should run, not walk, to snag the current special, which is 3 classes for $36 [classes must be taken within a 7-day window of time], which is a steal of deal for a luxury, boutique fitness studio in the heart of North Scottsdale.
